Tonight's Premiere: NBC: The Black Donnellys at 10pm
Question: Are we picking it up? I am sort of considering it since it looks a little soapy and that girl who dated Marissa on The OC is in it. But then again... it IS on NBC and everything on NBC eventually gets dropped. Plus, I might find it difficult to commit to a show that helps put the nail in the coffin of Studio 60, which, in case anyone has forgotten, NBC has "temporarily" shelved while this show (and other specials) make their debuts.

I am not picking it up...I have read several reviews that have all panned it, and I will not support any show that helps to get S60 cancelled. And what happened to your whole "I'm not picking up anything else on NBC ever again after the cancellation of West Wing"?
i tivo'd it. i hope it is good. my brother in law loved it last night but he points out the inherent problem with nbc "taking on" hbo. during a violent gunfight, the characters yell 'curses' back and forth at each other. 'bugger' is not an effective curse.
that is a problem. i remember a few years ago when NBC tried to do a Sex and the City knock off. but the censoring that had to be done to get it an ok for the 8:30 timeslot killed all things interesting in it.
