Interesting review of many shows. Picks winners & losers.

Monday nights: Samantha Who and HIMYM have been super strong candidates for best half hour comedy of the season and neither is mentioned by gawker. I stopped watching The Hills in the middle of last season when I grew tired of watching the same old MTV created storyline of good lauren vs evil heidi and spencer. I have heard a lot of online chatter that the two are actually friends and the entire 2 year fight was concocted by MTV for ratings purposes. This wouldn't surprise me, because it seemed to be the only thing that caused this little OC spinoff to draw mainstream media attention. (Why was LC a presenter at the Emmys BTW? Totally random)
Tuesday nights: NCIS is totally lame and I want to hate it, but finale from the previous season and the premiere of this season actually took an interesting and unexpected direction. I give the show an A for trying and am going to keep watching to see how long it takes for them to figure out the inside man isn't dead, but is actually that young girl agent. In addition, L&O:SVU continues to deliver - it is consistently good and a show I like to keep in the line-up as I don't need to watch every episode in temporal order to udnerstand what is going on. I TOTALLY agree w/r/t Greek, it is a great show and I think everyone should be watching it and I TOTALLY disagree w/r/t Fringe. I don't think Jashua Jackson is struggling that hard with his character identification and I like where it is going right now.
Wednesdays: Dirty Sexy Money and Sons of Anarchy. My 2 favorite shows of the week - and my favorite night of television. Both were completely left off of his list. In fact, all that is mentioned is Knight Rider and Lipstick Jungle? I understand that NBC has a weak programming schedule, and Wednesday is no exception, but let;s not be narrow minded enough to restrict ourselves. Peter Krause and Donald Sutherland are just so good - they keep me coming back for more and more and more as Lucy Liu said, Peter Krause is "the darlingest of the Darlings".
Thursday nights: This is IMO the weakest night of television, after considering all networks (not just majors...). The NBC schedule lacks vision, yes, My Name is Earl is funny, consistent, but sort of overdone. Kath and Kim is horrible, and that is being kind. ER is good, but only because it is the last season, so you sort of watch it with a 'this is the last time I'll see that' attitude. Life on Mars might have potential, but it hasn't found legs yet. The Office is good, but again, it is overdone.
Friday nights: I actually have started watching the CBS schedule straight through. Yes, Ghost Whisperer, The Ex List and Numbers. None are great, but honestly, none of them are that bad either. After a long week, who really wants to be preached to, politicized or mentally challenged? I find it is the bite sized entertainment factor on CBS that goes well with a glass of wine and a bittersweet chocolate bar.
Sunday nights: Agreed that DH is sort of whiny, followed by the completely whiny B&S followed by massive amounts of HBO/Showtime.
