ABC: 7 new episodes of Samantha Who?. This order takes the total number of episodes this season to 20. Normally, a full-season order consists of 22 episodes, however ABC indicated it has enough episodes in the pipeline from other sitcoms, such as Scrubs and According to Jim and does not need as many episodes of Samantha Who?. imo, a great move by ABC - this show rocks and is one of the last funny shows on tv. samantha is sort of a modern day mary tyler moore.
NBC: 9 new episodes of Kath & Kim, giving it a full-season order. To date, Kath & Kim, starring Molly Shannon and Selma Blair has averaged a 2.6/6 among A18-49 and 6.0 million viewers. i can't be the only person thinking WTF right now... this show is just not that good.
CW: Media Rights Capital is pulling the plug on its Sunday night shows - Valentine and Easy Money. MRC programs Sunday nights on The CW this season, and to continue to fill these two slots, will clearly have to come up with two new shows... per recommendation of my brother, i tried watching easy money, but i just couldn't get into it. as a result, i also caught an episode of valentine and it was so weekday afternoon bad scifi romance crossover from WPIX channel 11 i couldn't believe that MRC paid for it. or that the chick from The OC ended up there!!!

further changes:
ABC announced the fifth season premiere of Lost will open January 21 at 9p with two back-to-back episodes preceded by a Lost recap show airing at 8p. For this new season, Lost can be found on Wednesdays at 9p where Private Practice currently resides, instead of Thursdays at 10p. ABC has not said where Private Practice will relocate, although the network just granted the medical drama a full-season order. ABC is expected to make more changes to its Wednesday primetime schedule as Pushing Daisies at 8p and Dirty Sexy Money at 10p have both underperformed in their time periods thus far this season.
NBC continues to resuscitate the drama Life as the network gave Universal Media Studios approval on the back nine episodes giving the series a full-season order. Recently, Life was moved off of Friday nights to Wednesdays at 9p where last week it averaged a 2.0/5 and 5.9 million viewers among A18-49, doing better than its lead-in show Knight Rider which posted a 1.6/4 and 5.1 million viewers with A18-49.
NBC announced two fall season casualties: My Own Worst Enemy and Lipstick Jungle, both produced by NBC Universal Media Studios. My Own Worst Enemy, the Christian Slater drama, is expected to continue through its ninth episode with no more produced. NBC will then air Lipstick Jungle, which moved recently from Wednesday nights to Friday, through its thirteenth episode with no additional episodes produced.
Another sophomore drama possibly on the hit list is ABC's Pushing Daisies, per Variety. Currently, the show is wrapping production on 13 episodes and the network may not order any more, although a final decision has not been made.
Speculation also surrounds the future of FOX's Prison Break, cites THR. Actors on the show were told by 20th TV the production schedule may be extended to only two more episodes. FOX has not declared if these two hours will be the finale of the four-year old series or if they will air them next spring as a two-hour special event. The network did not include the remaining six episodes of Prison Break's 22-episode order on its midseason schedule.
