it was only a matter of time

sing it with me kids: "so long, farewell blah blah blah and good night!" bye bye pushing daisies, au revoir eli stone, adios dirtysexymoney.

inevitable decision from the disney network. i remain donald sutherland's loyal servant and already anxiously await his next project. after all, anyone who could make the spine-shudderingly bad commander-in-chief with geena davis worth watching will come back to the small screen again and again.

I'm not shocked. I never watched either show!

Shows seem to be cancelled in direct proportion to how much I enjoy them. Why is TV against me?

DSM started strong and was sustaining several story arcs that I relished. I will say that I have always hated Blair Underwood and was secretly disappointed when the rumor of his demise turned out to be just that, a rumor.

Eli Stone is like the legal version of one of my favorite obscure shows, Cop Rock. Loved it. Especially the chinese guy who was Eli's spriritual guide. Nothing funnier than when he went from being some FOB to a Berkeley grad in seconds. Pushing Daisies was not terribly strong from a plot perspective, but I loved its Burtonesque sensibilities with the narration driving the story line, the far fetched premise, the cinematography and art direction all being strengths.
